Subject: Social Security -
Privatizing

The crime issue is always near the top of the political agenda. Politicians exploit us by offering new bills guaranteeing public safety by locking up the bad guys. But it is all smokescreen to hide a greater and more sinister threat that causes society over ten times the damage and deaths that street criminals do. To make matters worse this is a criminal element out there that doesn't look like thugs, but are college trained people you can trust. They act like your friends, they smile in your face, they know how to say all the right things, they don't even blink an eye when they lie. These guys aren't crazy crack heads, they are experts in psychology and legal matters and they know exactly what they are doing and how to do us. Society rewards them even after they rip us off and destroy us.

Unsafe working conditions on the job and occupational diseases caused more than 56,000 deaths. The social and economic costs to our society in terms of alcoholism, drug abuse, divorce, suicide, bankruptcy, crime, poverty, child and wife abuse due to layoffs, firings, job losses, globalization, privatization, downsizing, and outsourcing is uncalculateable. Yet the TV and media paints us a rose colored picture of the economy. Every night we see on TV how Wall Street is doing. The stock market is a place for speculators not investors.

Six years ago, the Dow broke 4,000 now it is 10,000. Does that mean that the companies represented by the Dow are worth 250% more than they were worth back then? Our President needs to be reminded that our Social Security is not a 401K plan. It was put in place to protect orphans and widows. You did not work all your life to have your retirement income disappear in cyber space in one disasterous day on Wall Street. There is a big push to privatize our Social Security and “invest” it on Wall Street. If you want to gamble go buy a lottery ticket, or spend your money at the dog track. Keep focused, the Corporate Criminal is real and is protected by our system. It is time to wake up and change our attitudes and reform our government and society. We're not idiots, we should stop acting like we are
stupid. The whole process of change starts with you and me, grassroots!
